RSS stands for ' really simple syndication'.It is sometimes tranlated as 'Rich Site Summary'.You can stay out of web swamp and can save your time which will enable you to concentrate on your study, research or other concerned activities.
You can create your own page via free softwares called feed reader or aggregator which will help you stay focused .You can subscribe to RSS feeds and it will automatically keep you updated with your favourtie sites. You just sign in to one page and can go to facebook, twitter, yahoo, hotmail, gmail and so many other pages of your interest.
Hence, it can be rightly said that RSS feeds are not only helpful for your study and research but you can also go to your social networking sites.
You can keep yourself focused and teach your students to keep track of their related content. For example, if you want them to be updated with some people's views , you can tell them to read feed at twitter or their web pages. It will work as a reminder for them and it will save their time of searching content all the time.
